Role description
Program overview
This is a 14- to 16-week Summer 2027 analyst internship with Macquarie Capital's Critical Minerals and Energy team in Toronto. Macquarie Capital provides advisory and capital-raising services involving public and private M&A, divestments, debt and equity fundraising and corporate restructuring, and also undertakes principal investing in support of client activity.
Role
The intern will help clients and partners through Macquarie's advice and capital solutions, gain hands-on exposure to advisory-transaction execution and support senior bankers with business-development opportunities. Interns join a specific team based on their skills, experience and interests and receive formal training.
Qualifications
- Expected graduation between December 2027 and June 2028.
- Strong academic record and broad extracurricular involvement.
- Critical thinking, numerical ability and clear written and verbal communication.
- Ability to collaborate and build working relationships.
- Interest in financial services and the mining industry, with a proactive approach, strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Comfort using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
