Investment Banking Analyst / Associate (Future Opportunities)

Role overview Raymond James Ltd. invites Analyst and Associate candidates to submit resumes for future Investment Banking opportunities in Toronto. This is a permanent, full-time talent-pipeline posting rather than a currently identified vacancy. The team advises on mergers, acquisitions and divestitures and provides public-offering, private-placement, syndication, fairness-opinion and valuation services. Responsibilities - Work with Analysts, Associates, Vice Presidents and senior bankers in Canada and the United States. - Conduct financial modelling, discounted-cash-flow, comparable-company and precedent-transaction analyses and other strategic work. - Perform quantitative and qualitative research, maintain financial models, databases and valuation tools, and prepare transaction documents, proposals, pitch books and company information materials. Qualifications - Undergraduate degree in a business-related discipline and/or a CFA, CA, CPA or CBV designation. - One to three years of investment-banking, corporate-finance or equivalent experience; recent graduates are encouraged to apply. - Financial-analysis and modelling ability, familiarity with finance and capital markets, Microsoft Office proficiency, strong quantitative skills and attention to detail. - Capital IQ and Bloomberg experience and French proficiency are assets.
